When does the conference start?
The conference has 3 parts:
The WGM Family Retreat (which starts on Tuesday at 9am and closes on Thursday at 5pm).
Then there is a special one day meeting on Friday, June 21 for Regional Directors, Country Directors and Assistant Country Directors.
Then the IMPACT conference starts on Monday, June 24 and closes on Friday, June 28.
Who should plan to attend the Country Directors Day?
Regional Directors, Country Directors, and Assistant Country Directors should plan to attend the special meetings on Friday, June 21
Is transport from the airport available?
If you are flying in, we'll be happy to pick you up at the airport and return you when you leave. Of course, you may want to rent a car to give you greater flexibility, but that is up to you.
Will there be any WGM "Fleet" cars available for me to use?
Unfortunately, no.
My travel plans may change. Who do I notify?
If your travel plans change, you can contact us by e-mail: impact@wgmimpact.org, or by phone to the main switch board number: 765-664-7331.
Can I schedule a meeting or other trip on the weekend?
Sure. There is nothing on the schedule for Saturday and Sunday. And, if you are not involved in the Country Directors day schedule, you will have Friday -> Sunday open. All we ask is that you don't miss sessions by leaving early or returning late.
Will there be Wi-Fi at the conference?
Yes, IWU has excellent wi-fi throughout the campus.
When I arrive, where should I go?
We will have a "registration" desk set up in the lobby of one of the dorms. That's where you'll start to get your room assignment and meal ticket and welcome packet. For those just coming in for the day, we'll have your name badge and meal ticket at the place where the meetings will be held. As we get closer to the start of the conference we'll send out a map of the campus to help you. We'll also send out an address for you to put into your GPS or Maps app.
Will sessions be recorded?
Yes. It is our plan to record all sessions and make them available online after the conference.
Will there be a program for the kids?
Yes, we will have a full program for children of all ages. More details will be posted as we get closer to the conference.
I won't be there over the weekend Do I get a discount on my room / meals?
If you will not be on the IWU campus over the weekend, you can leave your things in your room and you will not be charge for the room or for your meals.
If you are staying on the campus, meals will be available, but it may be cheaper for you to eat off campus (depending on where you eat, of course!)
What's the easiest way to get up-to-date information as conference plans progress?
We will be setting up a private Facebook group for conference attendees, so if you are a Facebook user, that will be helpful.
We will also set up a bulk emailing list for general conference announcements.
